About Dalmeny and these notes

Independent guide · Updated 2 October 2026

A village landmark, a long history and a website whose older addresses still matter to readers.

The place behind the name

The former Dalmeny website focused on the parish church and the life of its congregation. It connected the building’s history with worship, community activities, news and practical enquiries. This collection follows that familiar subject structure.

About this project

This is an independent historical information project. It is not the official website of the congregation and is not affiliated with Historic Environment Scotland. New text and publication dates belong to this collection; old contributors’ names, photographs and notices have not been presented as our own work.

Historical pages are useful for understanding what a website said at a particular time. They do not establish today’s opening hours, office holders or booking arrangements. Follow the current parish sources linked throughout these notes.

For current worship, events, bookings and enquiries, use Dalmeny and Queensferry Parish Church. This independent guide does not take bookings or speak for the parish.
