Community groups in the Dalmeny archive

Independent guide · Updated 2 October 2026

A small group listing can reveal how a hall was woven into village life.

Groups recorded in July 2015

The archived page named Rainbows and Brownies, Dalmeny Art Group and Queensferry Community Brass Band. It described art meetings, summer sketching outings and an annual exhibition, alongside hall-based meetings for the other groups.

These names are historical references. The 2015 meeting times and personal contact details have not been carried forward as a current directory.

What to ask an organiser

  • Is the group still meeting, and where?
  • What age range or experience level is the activity for?
  • Must newcomers register in advance?
  • What equipment, charges and access arrangements apply?

For current parish-linked activities, start with the parish community section. Read the Church Centre guide when preparing a venue enquiry.

Research note

A preserved advertisement is evidence of what was published, not proof that every scheduled meeting took place. Confirm a group’s wider history through its own records or other dated sources.
